President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, the flagbearer of the ruling NRM party, took his campaign trail to the Booma Grounds in Alebtong District, where he was welcomed by a mammoth crowd of enthusiastic supporters. His arrival marked a significant moment in the second day of campaigns across the Lango sub-region, as he outlined his vision for the 2026–2031 presidential term.

The President was received by senior party leaders including Rt. Hon Anita Among, the 2nd National Vice Chairperson (Female), Hon Hamson Obua, Vice Chairperson for the Northern Region, alongside the NRM Secretariat team led by Secretary General Rt. Hon Richard Todwong, ministers, MPs, and local leaders.
In his address, Museveni urged Ugandans to remain steadfast in #ProtectingTheGains, emphasizing stability, development, and continuity as the foundation for the next kisanja. His message resonated strongly with the grassroots, reflecting the NRM’s strategy to consolidate its support in Northern Uganda as the 2026 elections draw closer.
