In a milestone step towards the 2025/2026 General Elections, the Electoral Commission (EC) has officially released the campaign roadmap for all nominated presidential candidates. This roadmap outlines the schedules, venues, and guidelines that will govern campaign activities across the country in the run-up to polling day.
The release of this roadmap is a critical part of ensuring transparency, fairness, and equal opportunity for all candidates to reach voters. It provides citizens, political parties, and civil society with a structured overview of the campaign period, helping to foster orderly participation while upholding the principles of democratic governance.
According to the Commission, the roadmap has been designed to balance inclusivity, security, and efficiency, taking into account the diversity of Uganda’s regions. It ensures that each candidate has an allocated platform to engage with the electorate, while also observing legal and ethical standards of campaign conduct.
The EC has emphasized that strict adherence to the roadmap will be essential in maintaining peace and harmony during the campaign season. All stakeholders, candidates, supporters, security agencies, and the general public are urged to respect the schedule as a framework for peaceful democratic expression.
What follows is the official Campaign Roadmap as issued by the Electoral Commission, detailing the itinerary for each of the presidential candidates.
